Dr. Haque has more than 15 years of teaching and professional experience in the field of geotechnical engineering. Prior to joining Monash University in June 2002, he worked as an Experienced Geotechnical Engineer for Rail Infrastructure Corporation (RIC) of NSW. He developed substantial professional experience through a wide variety of geotechnical engineering projects including slope stability, embankment stability, numerical modelling, bridge foundations, track geotechnology, site investigation and monitoring, and reporting. Dr Haque is very much interested in pursuing an academic career blended with field experience. He is currently involved in research on soil improvement, biochar sequestration in treated soils, laterally loaded piles, CO2 sequestration and filtration behaviour of granular materials under cyclic loading.
